- "An all-new collection of 13 stories by the beloved - and greatly missed - Stuart McLean including two stories "The Christmas Card" and "Dave and the Vacuum" that have never been heard on radio. They were recorded at Stuart's final show and never intended for air. As a result, the recordings have a bit of a bootlegged feeling with some entertaining ad lib references, and off the cuff remarks by Stuart. It is our hope that listening to this collection will feel like attending a live Vinyl Cafe performance. Laugh along with audiences from across the country as they enjoy stories about Canada's favourite fictional family: Dave, Morley and the kids. Four and a half hours of fun. You'd think that having someone in your life who offers to do the chores would be a good thing. Turns out that all depends on whom that someone might be. Take Dave, for example. When Dave offers to do the vacuuming, or get those last-minute dinner party items, or even the simplest thing like picking up stamps for the Christmas cards, his idea of helping isn't always helpful. Just ask Morley! It may not be helpful, but it is always entertaining. Smuggling, vacuuming and stamp collecting; waitressing, songwriting and snake delivering - you name it, you'll hear about it.
