Summary
Jewish nobleman Judah Ben-Hur opposes the Roman tyranny in the times of Christ, and through his opposition brings tragedy to himself and his family. Follows his descent to slavery, back into the ruling class through finding favor with the master of a ship on which he was a slave. Culminates with the famous chariot race and the death of Christ
